Term 3 HPE and Sport Update
This term we saw the re-commencement of some school sports particularly for netball. Aramac State School was proudly represented by a team of 10 students at the 10-12 years Central West Netball Trials, with four making it into the possible vs probable game. The end result saw both Charlie Wilson and Dakota Dooley making the CW team. Both girls then went on to play exceptionally well at the North West trials where Dakota was selected for the NW 10-12 years Netball team and Charlie was selected as a shadow. Well Done Girls!
Back to school now and this term in Health we have been focusing on healthy eating choices, ways to look after our body and multicultural Australia. The 5/6 class organised and planned for a multicultural food fair which saw food from different countries brought in and served to the class. It was great to see their enthusiasm and some of the great effort students put into their food and costumes. In PE we have focused upon fundamental movement skills of dodging, catching, throwing and also teamwork skills. Our P-2’s have loved being introduced to the game of ‘dodgeball’ and particularly love to target the staff when they get involved. It was really great to see their growth of their dodging and weaving skills grow over the term and watch the students become more competitive in the game.
