Principal's Message - T3 W9 2020

Another term is nearly finished! As always we have had a very busy few weeks! Thank you to those parents who have downloaded the QSchools App.  We now have 34 people with the App! Each week we are putting new news onto the website, as well as sending out notifications to families. If you haven’t already, please download the free app and add Aramac State School as a favourite school so you don’t miss any important information and notices from the school.

In the last month, we have celebrated Science Week and Bookweek.  Mr Gorle and Mr Neisler organised lots of fun activities for these events.  Experiments, Quiz games, tree planting, poetry readings, dress up days are just a few of the learning (and fun) our students were engaged in.  Thank you to Mr Gorle and Mr Neisler for the time and effort you put into organising and running these activities!

Congratulations to Charlie Wilson and Dakota Dooley on their selection in the North West Netball team.  The girls will travel to Toowoomba to play in the State Championships next month.  They will be competing against teams from across QLD.  It is a wonderful opportunity for them to develop their netball skills and experience a highly competitive competition.  We wish them the best of luck and know they will be outstanding representatives of Aramac State School!

P&C News

The next P&C meeting will be on Wednesday the 7th of October at 4.15pm.  The P&C has been working hard on fundraising activities this year with a very successful Pie drive and Father’s Day raffle.  Combined these activities made nearly $2000 to go towards projects to support the education program we provide at Aramac State School.  Thank you to everyone who supported both fundraisers!

At the next P&C meeting, I will be sharing our 2021 Student Code of Conduct.  I will be asking for feedback on how we implement Positive Behaviour for learning at Aramac State School.  Thank you to Lloyd who is on our PBL committee as the parent representative, who already provides a parent perspective in our meetings.  We would love to see some new faces; your input is invaluable in supporting us to provide high quality education for our students.

Kindy Days for Term 4

Please note the 3 day weeks from week 4 onward to make up the days we would do in week 10 due to finishing school in Week 9.

  • Week 1 - 2 days
  • Week 2 - 3 days
  • Week 3 - 2 days
  • Week 4 through to Week 9 - All 3 Day weeks.
Additionally, a Kindy Information Session for 2021 will be held on the 22nd Of October in Term 4.

5 - 10 Camp

We are looking forward to our trip to Rocky Caves next week.  Tomorrow afternoon, the teachers going on camp will have a quick meeting with the camp students to remind them about the things they require for camp.  If you need a new requirements list, please contact us tomorrow to send one home with your child.  All students are required to be at school at 8.30am on Monday, to leave by 9am.  A reminder that students will only have their mobile phones for two hours in the evening, and then teachers will look after them.  We are contactable at all times on 0429 063 966.
